What
we do
We
specialize in correcting the "premature
shutdown" problem that afflicts thousands of
Sony laptops. We don't do general Vaio
troubleshooting and repair. If you have a problem
with your LCD screen, keyboard, or DVD, you should
find a local repair shop.
We
guarantee our fix 100%. If we don't solve your
problem, your only expense will be for shipping the
machine to us and back to you.
Our
repair takes upwards of two hours of bench time,
because
- the
computer is completely disassembled to get at
the processor board,
- a
determination is made as to which components
have failed,
- the
defective components are replaced,
- then
the system is put back together, and
- rigorously
tested before being returned.
The
component replacement requires specialized equipment
and technique to solder Surface Mount Technology
printed circuit components.
The
first thing you should do is to answer the following
questions about your computer:
- Does
the operating system seem to load okay, but
the computer shuts down either immediately or
a matter of a few seconds to many minutes
later? If so, the odds are nearly 100% that
we can help you.
- Before
the operating system boots up, can you press
the F2 key and get into BIOS setup mode? If
so, your computer is a prime candidate for
our repair.
- When
you turn on the power, do you see the Sony
logo and hear the Vaio musical signature? If
not, your machine may
not respond to our fix. But it might,
and a few dollars for shipping might be a
good investment anyway.
If
you answered "yes" to the above questions,
your troubles are over!
